The Legacy Continues
Barrel Head Winery started in 2008, located just south of Dubuque, Iowa between Hwy 61 & Hwy 52. The winery quickly became known all over the world for our exquisite French Bordeaux style dry red wines. Under new ownership as of June 2023, Aaron & Jodie Fuhreck continue the tradition of crafting award winning wines under the strict legacy & direction originally crafted by John Burns. Each grape is carefully tended for throughout the growing season on 3 acres, hand picked at harvest, carefully crafted & bottled with... you guessed it - our hands. Come and enjoy a wine tasting as we showcase our estate wines for all to enjoy. Cheers to a legacy not soon to be forgotten.

Not only are we situated just minutes south of Dubuque,Iowa & 20 minutes from Galena, Illinois... we are minutes from a Flower Farm, Pumpkin Patch, and an Apple Orchard!
